Forty Days of Prayer

Dear Church Family,

We are in an exciting season at Calvary Austin as we look forward to what God has in store for 2018. Believe me when I say, there are great things to come that are sure to encourage and add to our church body. The word that God has given me is “Anthem” which is defined as: a rousing or uplifting song identified with a particular group, or body. With this idea mind, we will give special attention to what God is doing in and through our body, for the praise of His glory. On the first Wednesday of every month, we will have Anthem Night where time will be given for personal testimonies. We will be posting pictures and videos on social media that bear testimony to God’s work through ordinary people (like you) in our church. I will also create an Anthem Blog to share these precious “God moments.” Our mission is simply to know Him and make Him known as we celebrate what He is doing in our church.

In addition to our new vision, we will also be rolling out new ministries. We see a need to connect better with new visitors, along with making current members feel better connected with each other. This will require expanding our home fellowship community. We will also offer other opportunities to help folks plug in and build relationships.

January 7, 2018 will be ‘Anthem Sunday” at Calvary Austin. This will be our official launch day as we roll out our new vision and new ‘connect’ ministries. Please join me in 40 days of prayer as we seek to make God known and see Him praised.

In His love,

P. Terry
